I’ve learned a lot by looking at the Kairos Journal. It is a very interesting site that holds an incredible amount of knowledge. To me, it seems like the journal is writing towards a relatively broad audience, but with a little bit of a focus on those already interested in rhetoric, intellectual property, composition, etc. The journal itself is very well designed, besides the somewhat clunky homepage. The various sections of the journal all have interesting formatting. Some are more visually oriented and use images to make much of their point. Others have simple designs visually that keep the focus on the writing itself. These designs are way more interesting than traditional online journals. The homepage could use a redesign though. It looks older and less polished than all the other sections of the journal. The current issue of the journal is both similar to and different from other issues. The format and design is similar, but the content is completely different. The articles are about totally different subjects issue to issue. Overall though, all the articles are still somewhat related. Just about every article in the journal at least ties into rhetoric, composition, and design.
